I'm not a lawyer, and terms like this genuinely need one, particularly the liability, cancellation-fee and telehealth sections, which carry real weight if a dispute ever comes up. Please have this reviewed by a solicitor or AHPRA's practice guidance before publishing, and fill in every bracketed placeholder with your actual policy first.

Terminology

In these terms, "Client," "you" and "your" mean the person accessing this website or receiving services from us. "The Practice," "we," "our" and "us" mean The Curious Kind Collective. "Party" or "Parties" means either or both of the Client and the Practice. These terms apply alongside our Privacy Policy.

Using this website

By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

Content on this site is general information about our practice and services; it isn't personal clinical advice, and browsing it doesn't create a therapeutic relationship between you and The Curious Kind Collective.
We've tried to keep everything on this site accurate and current, but we don't guarantee it's error-free, and details like fees may change; always confirm anything important directly with us.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, The Curious Kind Collective owns the content, branding and design on this website. You're welcome to view or print pages for your own personal use, but you must not:

Republish material from this website elsewhere
Sell, rent or sub-license any material from this website
Reproduce or duplicate content from this website
Redistribute our content, unless we've specifically made it available for that

Linking to our website

Government agencies, search engines, news organisations, and directories listing us the same way they list other businesses may link to this website without asking us first, as long as the link isn't misleading and doesn't imply we endorse or sponsor the linking site.

If you're in crisis

This website and our booking process are not monitored in real time and are not appropriate for emergencies. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 000. Appointments, cancellations and fees

Current session fees and rebate information are set out on our Fees & Medicare page.
We ask for at least 48 hours' notice of any cancellation or reschedule. Cancellations or reschedules with less than 48 hours' notice incur a fee of 50% of the session fee; cancellations, reschedules or no-shows with less than 24 hours' notice incur the full session fee. Cancellation fees are not eligible for a Medicare, NDIS or private health rebate and are payable in full.

Confidentiality

What you share with us in sessions is confidential, with a small number of legal and ethical exceptions common to all registered psychologists:

Where there's a serious risk to your safety or someone else's
Where required by law, for example, under mandatory reporting obligations, or a court order or subpoena
Where needed for clinical supervision, which all registered psychologists are required to undertake (identifying details are kept to a minimum)

Telehealth

Telehealth sessions require a private space and a stable internet connection. See our Telehealth page for more detail.
Telehealth isn't appropriate for all situations, including active crises. We'll discuss with you whether it's a good fit.
Telehealth sessions are conducted via Zoom, accessed securely through our Zanda client portal, no separate login or app download required. If a session is interrupted by a technical issue, we'll attempt to reconnect via Zoom and, if that's not possible, continue by phone or arrange to reschedule the remaining time.

Disclaimer & liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude warranties and conditions relating to this website and its use. Nothing here limits our liability, or yours, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or in any other way the law doesn't permit. Those protections always stand regardless of anything else on this page.
